MFE Group has always oriented its development model towards compliance with the law and principles such as integrity, responsibility, fairness, transparency and fair competition, in line with the values of sustainable development, respect for human rights, anti-corruption, environmental protection, health and safety in workplaces, equality, and impartiality.
Sharing the culture of legality and business ethics along the entire supply chain and collaboration with suppliers and business partners are fundamental tools to ensure a fair, transparent and responsible procurement process and to establish solid relationships of trust with stakeholders.
For these reasons, we intend to promote business relationships exclusively with parties who share and concretely apply principles and values that the MFE Group recognises, supports and disseminates, and adhere to the required standards of business conduct.
The definition and/or maintenance of these relationships are determined by the effective involvement and proactivity of suppliers and business partners in the application of the principles of MFE Group Code of Ethics and Suppliers' Code of Conduct, and in the promotion of such principles and values in their production chain.

MFE Group has based its business model on compliance with principles, values and environmental, social and economic components, which are an integral part of its strategic choices. Suppliers and business partners are therefore required to share and promote the Group's principles and values in their operational and development processes.
The Supplier Code of Conduct adopted by the MFE Group summarises the principles and values on which the ethical business culture promoted by the Group is based, which must inspire the conduct of the business activities of all suppliers who have - or intend to have - business relations with the companies belonging to it.
Full sharing of these principles and values is an essential requirement:
  • to access the MFE Group's Supplier Register;
  • to maintain the status of "Qualified/Accredited Supplier";
  • to be able to participate in selection procedures;
  • to enter into agreements and for the entire duration of the contractual relationship.
The definition and/or maintenance of commercial relations with Suppliers by the companies of the MFE Group are determined by their effective involvement and proactivity in the application of the principles on which the Supplier Code of Conduct is based and in the promotion of such values also among their subcontractors and subcontractors.
The principles and standards of conduct described in the Supplier Code of Conduct are integrated with the provisions of the MFE Group Code of Ethics, the Human Rights Policy, the Anti-Corruption Policy and other Policies applicable to Suppliers and, in general, with compliance programs adopted by the Group companies or in other documents relating to the Suppliers and do not modify their contractual obligations.

For several years, MFE Group has distinguished itself through its tangible commitment to social sustainability initiatives focused on people and environmental protection. To further strengthen this path, the Group’s Procurement Department has launched the “Sustainable Procurement” project, addressed to suppliers, with the objective of raising awareness of environmental, social and governance risks and impacts across the supply chain, while also promoting the development of responsible business models aligned with increasingly demanding sustainability standards.
To support this initiative, the Group has adopted the Open-es digital platform, a business community designed to guide companies through growth and training pathways on ESG-related matters. In this context, starting from the completion of the ESG assessment questionnaire, tailored improvement plans have been defined to enhance stakeholders’ skills on increasingly relevant topics and to foster a guided and informed evolution.
The ESG scorecard will progressively become an essential requirement both for remaining in the Supplier Register and for participating in sourcing events.
