Simone Sole is currently Group CFO at MFE – MEDIAFOREUROPE N.V..
Previously he was Head of Finance and M&A, a position he has held since 2011. In this role, he oversaw the Group’s core financial areas, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, finance and treasury, administration and tax, consolidated financial statements, Enterprise Risk Management, ESG reporting and Investor Relations.
He previously served as Head of M&A and Investor Relations at Mediaset S.p.A. from 2001 to 2011, gaining extensive experience in the media industry and capital markets. Earlier in his career, he was a Partner at Barabino & Partners, a leading financial communication and Investor Relations consultancy involved in major Italian privatisation processes. He began his professional path as a FX and government bonds trader at BNL, London branch.
He currently holds board-level positions in several media and industrial companies, including ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE (Member of the Supervisory Board), EI Towers (Vice Chairman), Mediamond, Medusa, Radio Mediaset and Virgin Radio and is Head of Business at Ad4Ventures, MFE’s corporate venture capital arm, as well as a member of its Investment Committee. In the past he has also served as a board member of Mediaset Premium and Endemol N.V..
He holds a Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Sapienza University of Rome.
